The Ministry of Local Government Chieftaincy & Community Development is concerned with matter affecting Local Government Administration as well as issues relating to Chieftaincy matter in Bayelsa State – Southern Nigeria. The need to extend good governance to Bayelsans in the sub-urban and rural communities in order to speed up sustainable development is central to the vision of this administration, and this Ministry must fulfill same. Our Ministry understands that development is fundamental and absolutely required in the life of every community and it is necessary for our traditional institution to contribute to it. Therefore work to safeguard it continuous existence.

Bayelsa State Local Government Information Management System (BSLOGIMS)

The Ministry of Local Government of Bayelsa State is introducing an application that enables some sectors of the Local Government to manage and process their payroll and employee progression online. It typically allows users to access employee information on the go, calculate payroll, manage ad-hoc and statutory deductions, view pay slips, allowances and taxes and generate payment voucher.
Managing a large staff population across the state can be difficult without a customized human resources management system. In the light of this, the ministry in collaboration with other sectors and departments designed and deployed this scalable technology.
